It is in front of the driver's side tire and needs to be accessed from the wheel well. You can do this without removing the wheel. Turn the wheel hard to the left, reach in the wheel well and turn the four plastic retainers and pop the plastic access panel out. its deretally in front of the drivers side tire under the finnder you move it by take the panel off its easy to do

The battery is located (believe it or not) in the front left wheel well in its own little compartment. I suggest you remove the front left wheel for easier access. There is a plastic access panel that must be removed before the battery can be disconnected and removed.
