Yes. But if you're going through all the trouble, why settle for a 3100 SFI when you can swap in a 3400 SFI? Fits like a glove! Go to 60degreev6.com for more info.
no
I had to remove the air intake to get to it.Easy then.

3.1 V6 has 160 HP? Correction: The 3100 SFI lost 5HP in 1995 and sits at 155HP for that year. The 3100 SFI in 1994 originally did have 160HP, you are right about that. So if this 1995 model has a 3100 SFI V6, it's 155HP. If it has the four cylinder (2.2L OHV), it's 120HP.
Yes....In fact, any 87-96 (maybe later even) coil packs from a 2.8, 3.1, 3.4, 3100 SFI etc will interchange. The only thing that changes is the mounting location and bracket. The 3100 moved the pack to the top of the engine and had to change the mounting bracket. But the ICM and coils can be removed and put on your original bracket.
there isn't one unless you put in a aftermarket one
To remove an oil dipstick tube on a 1994 Grand Am SE 3100 SFI v6, pull the oil dipstick out of the tube and remove the bolt from the bracket. Slide the base mount bracket up and off the tube.?æ
