Should be on bottom of tranny.
Remove transmission oil pan
Remove the transmission pan underneath and it's inside of it.
the solinoids are located in the valve body. it in inside the transmission pan.
drain transmiision fluid from transmission, remove bottom oil pan from tranny, and you will see filter there is no pan on bottom of transmission do anyone have the answer?!
To drain the coolant on a Mazda 626, locate the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. Remove the plug and drain the coolant into a pan.

Only if you are not careful and you dont put a drain pan under it Yes, unless you have a method of catching the fluid for disposal. BTW, don't re-use the fluid.
the filter is located inside the transmission fluid pan. There is often a drain plug which will allow the transimission fluid to be drained out. From there the pan is held on by numerous bolts which circle the pan. Once removed the filter is located inside. You will need a new gasket to go on when you re install the pan. Also new transmission fluid.
