A mosberg is a piece of crap buy a browning or a berreta first of all its Mossberg not "mosberg" and second they make good guns including the 500 Mossberg makes great guns for the price. I have never had a problem with any Mossberg. I have never shot the 500 so I wouldn't know. Personally I like Benelli Nova. It will go through anything that you can put it through and still fire a round like its brand new. It's $300 and shoots like a $1000 gun. To the original answerer, what are you talking about? The Mossberg 500 series (including the 535, 590, and others) is probably one of the two best pump shotguns ever made (the other being the Remington 870 series.) The 590 is used by the U.S. military, so that says something about how good it is. I started using a 535 two years ago, and I've killed four deer (three bucks, one doe) and two turkeys with it (sorry, not trying to brag.) While I do admit that the Browning A-5 is a great shotgun, Mossberg shotguns are by no means "crap." Benelle Value of this gun, as you asked, depends completely on condition.
