Scientists agree that polar areas (such as Antarctica and Alaska) will have the most changes, due to the dramatic decline of polar icecaps. Whilst desert areas will gain heat substantually during this time, it will make little difference in life there and animals will easily and quickly adapt. In polar regions however, the decline of glaciers and ice will leave no land for animals, and as you probably know, it is very hard to live without something to pose you're feet on.

Also, it will be proportionatly warmer at the poles. While here, the temperature may have changed 1 degree, in the polar icecaps it increased by 3 degrees.

If global warming is Happening why is the Earth being effected?

Global warming is causing Earth's climate to change, leading to more frequent and severe natural disasters such as hurricanes, droughts, and wildfires. It is also contributing to rising sea levels, melting glaciers, and disruptions to ecosystems and wildlife populations. These impacts are driven by the increased levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, primarily from human activities like burning fossil fuels.

What could be an introduction for my speech on global warming?

A:Global warming is a very big issue in the world today. Global warming is when the earth's temperature rises. The cause of global warming is when greenhouse gases trap heat and light from the sun [in the atmosphere of the earth] causing the earth to heat up. Global warming affects animals and our environment, such as rise in sea levels which will cause extinction for more than a thousand species.

What are the economic losses due to pollution?

The more polution there is, the more danger we are in due to global warming. Global Warming causes more storms, and with more storms more buildings and cars get damaged. If more cars get damaged, then we have to keep on making money, and the more money we make the more chaos is caused in Earth. If we took care of the Earth and our surroundings, then Global Warming wouldn't excist and we wouldn't have to worry so much.

What season does global warming occur?

Global warming is a long-term increase in Earth's overall temperature, which is occurring in all seasons. However, the effects of global warming, such as rising temperatures, melting ice caps, and more extreme weather events, can be more noticeable in certain seasons depending on the region.

What is severe damage to the environment called?

The earth has so much severe damage. Firstly, the most hazardous of all is termed Global warming. Global warming is more severe than the others. Another just as severe damage as Global warming is Ozone depletion which I think is as severe as Global warming if not the same.

What is Global Warming and its role in air quality?

Global Warming is the slow heating up of the earth. Bad air quality can lead to the destruction of the ozone layer, allowing more dangerous rays to enter Earth's atmosphere.

What is climate change global warming causing?

"Climate Change" and "Global Warming" are not the same, though related. Global Warming causes Climate Change. With Global Warming we understand the warming of the earth's global temperature. That warming has in turn an effect on the earth's global climate and on more localized climates (like the climate of England or Western US).
