Artemis, goddess of the Hunt and the moon.
The rockets that carried astronauts to the moon were the Saturn V rockets. Specifically, Apollo 11, the first mission to land humans on the moon, launched with a Saturn V rocket.
The moon
Apollo 7 did not land on the Moon; it was the first crewed mission in NASA's Apollo program and orbited the Earth for 11 days in 1968. The crew splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean upon completing their mission.
Apollo 13 did not land on the moon because of an explosion in its oxygen tanks on the journey to the moon. Apollos 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 did make successful lunar landings.
No Space Shuttles landed on the moon. Apollo capsules with lunar landing module went to the moon. The Apollos stayed in lunar orbit while the landing modules descended to the moon and then returned to the Apollo capsule. The capsules then returned to earth. Apollos 8 and 10 went into lunar orbit but returned without landing by design. The first Apollo mission to reach the moon, and land, was Apollo 11. Apollos 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 also landed on the moon and returned. Apollo 13 had an emergency, flew around the moon, and returned safely to earth.
The astronauts from the first 3 flights to land on the moon (Apollos 11, 12 & 14) went into a 3-week quarantine immediately upon their return from the moon. This was done on the off-chance that there may have been unknown microbes on the moon. The last 3 flights (15, 16 & 17) were not subjected to this because, by then, it was obvious that the moon was dead in all respects.
Apollos University was created in 2004.
Apollos Smith was born in 1825.
