There is a plate on the port side of the motor leg behind the transom clamp that has the model number. It usually starts with a V for the Voyager brand. These motors are made by the same company that makes Champions, Majestics, and SeaFliers. I would start by going to the AOMCI (antique outboard motor club) site.

The Motor no. is located on a machined pad on the block, in front of the left hand head. look the no. up at a site named mortec.com or call your Chevy dealer, and ask them to look it up on their computer. this no. will give you the info. your looking for.
