Best Answer

[1] Like other birds, pigeons make nests out of small stems and twigs. [2] Unlike other birds, and with the exception of wood pigeons, they don't locate these nests or raise their young in trees. Instead, they seek the built environment of billboards, bridges, buildings, and ledges. The reason is that their original habitat was one of cliffs and rocky ledges.

Feral pigeons sleep where they nest, or where they have security from the wind, rain, and predators.

They also sleep during the day but not as mutant as bats.

Trees
They move to quiet trees so that they can 'rest' for the night. Some will sleep in nest
