I can definitely tell you not to buy at Rajarhat. It is a nightmare with almost no infrastructure and the recent protests of villagers regarding forced acquisition of land have made the whole problem worse. Avoid Rajarhat Newtown at all cost.

Absolutely right you are Pradeep. Rajarhat is the worst place you can buy now. The roads there are bad and the electricity supply is worse, the recent scandals over Vedic Village and HIDCO have only added fuel to the fire. Mukundapur. Kalikapur etc near EM Bypass are good options as these areas are far better connected to the city

Do not buy at Rajarhat if you don't want to end up like me. I purchased flat at Hiland Woods about 5 years ago. I had no idea about the problems I may face there. Currently, the developer charges around 1500 rupees per month to supply electricity from two large sized generators. We are lacking in even the basic amenities.
