If you live in a humid area, you could get away with putting it in a garden. Otherwise you may wish to invest in a terrarium. Be sure to have supply of peat moss and sand with nutrients similar to a bog.

What happens when you put a Venus Flytrap in the shade?

If you put a Venus Flytrap in the shade, its leaves will turn black. If they do, you should slowly acclimate it to high light so its leaves won't burn. If you find that a trap has red in it don't worry it will just grow faster.

What does a Venus flytrap eat but flies?

Birds and possibly small rodents eat the Venus Flytrap.

What does a Venus-flytrap eat?

Flies and other flying insects supplement its nutrition from the soil on which it lives. Sometimes if there is a large Venus Flytrap it will eat a small frog or toad. The Venus Flytrap lives on soils that are poor in nutrients, and in particular nitrogen compounds, such as nitrates, that the roots can absorb. The insect "diet" provides additional nitrogen, enabling the plant to grow in places where it might not otherwise survive. To read more about Venus flytraps, visit the Related Link.Any type of small beetle or fly or bugs really. It will eat anything that fits inside it.It's in the name - flies! You could feed a Venus Flytrap flies, water and hamburger meat. You can feed Venus fly traps quite a lot of things, flies (obviously, that's why it is called what it is), Spiders and many other things, such as small bits of raw hamburger. You can put it by a window eg in your bathroom. I have found that it loves it there because it has fresh, live flies from the window! It's also a good idea to have a little bowl with about 2-4 mm of water in it. (Not tap water)You can also feed it by putting the fly/spider into the trap or you can let it catch the food all by itself. You shouldn't make it close with nothing in it very often, or it will get tired and die. So if you don't do that, your Venus fly trap will live a long time! Good luck! You can feed them any bug, but it will also eat small (live) frogs or toads.small flys buy not to small or not to big because they can egscap easly. What experiment can you do with a Venus Flytrap?

You could feed it insects and spiders to see what happens. Venus Flytraps don't like to be bothered by putting your finger in it. You could test it by grabbing a small pencil and touch the inside mouth of a Venus Flytrap, however this does damage the plant.Tips for experimentation:- Always feed it distilled water or rain drops. I- The Flytrap is great for science fairs with other carnivorous plants.- Do not feed human food.- They have hair triggers (which some people call teeth). It won't hurt if you put your finger in it!- If it's black it means it's dead. If it's black in November - May, it means that your plant is sleeping because of winter dormancy. Other carnivorous plants have winter dormancy except nepenthe's. Make sure you have a spray garden bottle and spray the plant 3-7 times every 2-4 days.

What should the teacher in mind when she design the classroom organization and routine?

They should have in mind the size of the classroom and the amount of things they want to put in the classroom as there must be enough room to safely store everything so that children are at a lower risk of hurtimg themselves. They should also consider how cluttered the classroom is as some studies have shown that children cannot work properly in a cluttered room. The routines should be simple and easy to follow, incase the class ever has a cover teacher; they should also leave suitable amounts of time for each activity.

How many times does a Venus Flytrap eat?

Answer 1:If you have a small glass bowl or something that your Mum or Dad doesn't mind getting dirty put it in that and then put a tiny bit of water in the bowl. Once this has gone then do the same when it's drank it all. If it's near a widow that you open quite a lot e.g a by a bathroom window - then you don't have to give it flies. But if it won't get many flies where it is, then you have to give it some. Never close their traps for fun because they will get tired and might die. Also, you should only give them rainwater not tap water.Answer 2:How often you water the Venus Flytrap is variant on whether the soil is moist or not. If it isn't, it needs watering and vise versa.

How does a pre-school office look like?

A preschool classroom should look bright and interesting, but it should not overwhelm the children. It should have areas called centers where children do play activities and an area where the group can be taught together. It should be organized and have children's supplies where they can easily reach them, and a place for each child to put their private things, like their sweaters or coats. The walls can be used to put children's finished work on. Classroom rules should be posted in the room.

If you stick your finger in a Venus Flytrap's mouth will it bite you?

No, it is just a trap and not a very brutal one, just enough to hold a fly. In order for the plant to hurt you, you would have to leave you finger (or whatever) in the trap until the digestive enzymes have a chance to burn through your epidermis, which would be days. Also, the plant does not have teeth really. They only can put out enough pressure to crush their prey.
