Next to the air filter box
I was remove auto transmission gear box filter and now I can't fix it on nut not fix
change at least every 25,000 auto transmission oil does not last as long as manual gearbox oil, all to do with friction and heat in an auto box, pays to replace filter as well
Trans filter is located near the air box on top of the transmission. It looks like an oil filter.
No they have nothing to do with each other - the MAF is located at the top of the air intake box (enclosing the air filter).
I have a 1995 legacy and I just changed my transmission filter. I also have the 2.2 engine. The filter is located under the car and inside the box that the plug for the transmission fluid is located. It has exactly 20 screws to take the bottom of the box off to get to the filter. Be sure to drain the transmission fluid before you take the screws off.
Its located under the air filter box almost under the battery.
The Transmission oil filter is on top of the transmission. You can see it when looking into the engine compartment. It is to the left of the Air cleaner air box. It will look just like a oil filter.
The starter for a 1999 Saturn is on top of the transmission under the air filter box. Remove the filter box for easy access.
the auto box in my passat is a tiptronic box and as such it does not have a dip stick if the same box is in your Jetta then take it to a transmission specialist who knows how to check the oil for you as it needs to be conected to a scanner to determin the fluiod levelGlynn SheffieldSee this answer it may help: Special:Contributions
