CorrectionYou won't be able to find a 1934 $1000 silver certificate because none were ever printed, only Federal Reserve notes with a green seal. Some 1934 gold certificates were printed (actually in 1933, for release in 1934) but were never released when gold was withdrawn from circulation.
A $1 silver certificate series 1934 is currently worth about $20 in circulated condition, and about $40 in a nice, crisp uncirculated condition.DanUser:WorkingMan

The only US bills dated 1935 were $1 silver certificates. $5 silver certificates were printed in the 1934 and 1953 series.
It's easy if the bill was printed from 1928 to 1953, the last series year $5 silver certificates were issued. All bills will have the words SILVER CERTIFICATE in the banner across the top, and with one exception they'll all have blue seals and serial numbers. The only exception is a series of special 1934 and 1934 A bills printed for use in Hawaii during WWII; these have brown seals but still say Silver Certificate. Older bills may have the words Silver Certificate or they may say something like "Five Silver Dollars" on them.
It depends on condition. If it was good condition, maybe ≈ $20. Bad, ≈ $6.
Not silver dollars, the Peace series skips from 1928 to 1934, since there was little demand for them during the Depression. 1928 series silver certificate currency (bills) were made during this period.
