Some one once told me there is no such things as a free lunch... and I would say generally that is the the truth. The one idea that I would through out is that there are many volunteer agencies around the country many of them provide free or GREATLY reduced costs of training for their members. Many are based out of local fire departments (even better if yours is all volunteer or mixed system, Also there is the Medical reserve corps.

∙ 12y agoI was unsuccessful in finding a free EMT training course in New York. There are a number of CPR and First Aid courses that are offered free of charge, but unfortunately, there were no free EMT training courses available.
