you actually become the gray fox but first you have to complete the theievs guild you get his cowl it gives you 200 feather , 40 ft detect life and fortify sneek but it makes the guards go after you you also get a new house in the thieves guilds new guild hall plus the cowl for some reason if you take off the cowl just as a guard runs after you then they ask why you wanted to talk to him but can be a problem if you normally have a bounty.
NOTE:the guards don't come after you in the shivering ilse unless you already have a bounty on you thare then they still come after you.
