It can be found in the Control Panel. You want the selection called "Audio Devices and Sound" which in Windows 7 can be found under "Hardware and Sound" in here I believe you can set the volume. More importantly, there should be a checkbox to show the icon in your system tray. It may be in an "Advanced" tab, I'm not sure. You'll need to look around a little bit. If it is unchecked when you fin it, then check it and click "ok." If it is already checked, then uncheck it and click "apply," then check the box again and click "ok." If the icon doesn't show up, reboot your computer. It should show now.
If you're asking how to turn on the volume, then you can usually find the volume icon on the right side of the start menu. If you're asking how to fix the volume/speakers, then it depends on the type of computer you have. Your best bet is to Google the computer model you have and look for instructions that is specific to your computer.

First you choose the icon that you want to delete.Next you find the "Recycle Bin" icon. Then click and drag the chosen icon to the "Recycle Bin" icon. That is how you would delete an icon off of your computer!
If your volume isn't working on your computer, make sure you have the speakers plugged in. If that doesn't fix the problem, go to the bottom left of your computer screen and click on the speaker icon. You may have the volume turned off.
You check if there is a red cross on the volume icon at the far right of your monitor.

If your printer icon has disappeared, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer. You can also try restarting your computer and printer to refresh the connection. If the icon is still missing, ensure that the printer driver is installed and up to date, or check the settings in your operating system's control panel or settings menu.
Why it's disappeared - I cannot say (as I don't know what you did to remove it !) - However.... to get it back :- Click... Start Control Panel Personalization Desktop Icons Tick the 'Computer' box Click Apply Click OK That will restore the 'My Computer' icon back to the screen.

Try restarting the computer again. If that doesn't work, I can't help you. It has happened many times to me as well. I am having another problem in that there is a mysterious lowercase "i" icon in the McAfee icon n the taskbar.
