You can't usually get Beldum on Pokemon Pearl because it is not a Sinnoh Pokemon, it is from Honnen (I think). It says 'area unknown' on the Pokedex, but you can get it depending on your luck. Follow these steps:
- Go to Sandgem Town
- Go into Lucas' House (should say on the post box or sign outside his house)
- Talk to the little girl with the red ribbon and the yellow dress
- She should say 'What did the news say again? Route ***! There is a whole bunch of ***** there! Quick, you have to hurry! I want you to do better that my brother Lucas!
The Pokemon she mentiones will be 'area unknown' on the pokedex, and the next day it will have gone again. The Pokemon will change every day, and there is no order. It is at random which Pokemon she says. By the way, you can't see this on television, only the girl can tell you.
You can definitely get a Beldum this way. You may be lucky and get it tomorrow. You may be unlucky and get it in two months time. All I can say is that she has told me where to get it twice and I have one.
Or you can just migrate one.
