it is always good to talk to an experienced locksmith in your area and to offer yourself to work with him for a low comission or low hourly rate as a dispach at his office and simply get some training from him while watching him work and ask questions.
i know it is hard to find schools in NC ,so sometimes it can be a good idea to move out to a different state for a while like six month or 12 month of learning during working can give you a lot of confidence when you will have to advetise your self and your services.
you can find many places online like YouTube that can give you A Lot of info and can be very helpfull for whoever wants start his locksmith business.
even after 8 years in locksmith business i am still going to youtube and such to learn more and more.
