if its automatic, there is a dipstick just to the right of your oil dipstick. its red in color. you will need a funnel to get the fluid in. If its a Manual transmission. there is a dip stick in the far upper right hand corner, strait down in the accual case of the transmission.... you will need a longer funnel to fill this.
You don't "pour" it in. Saturn uses a "sealed" transmission, meaning that you don't check the fluid level using a dipstick. There is an access hole on the side of the transmission.
ON my 1999 sl2 it is the transmission fluid dipstick
dex 6 auto trans fluid,
It is ATF
do a 99 Saturn sl2 have a transmission pan gasket
The red dip-stick under the hood.
The trans fluid is the red dipstick in the car. The yellow one is oil, the red is trani fluid. You pour in trani fluid in that same spot, but use a funnel. The car has to be on, in park and on a flat, level ground to get an accurat reading.
1997 Saturn sc2 loction of transmission dipstick
7.4 Quarts Application: With automatic transmission Total refill (includes torque converter)
It may require Dexron 3 or it may require a special Saturn fluid. Look in your owner's manual. If you do not have one call your local Saturn dealer. Using the wrong fluid can damage the transmission, so as I am not 100% sure, I cannot be positive.
there are no physical adjustments available for the Saturn automatic transmission.
if it is anything like my 97' Saturn Sl2. The engine must be dropped out to dismount the transmission.
