r134a for a 2001 Ford Expedition
In the 2000 Ford Taurus the low side freon port when facing the car from the front is on the left side fire wall. It may have a blue or black cap.
The 2001 Ford Explorer A/C unit does not contain Freon (R12). Freon has not been used since 1995.
To add Freon to a 2001 Ford Taurus, locate the low-pressure service port of the air conditioning system, which is usually found on the larger diameter line connected to the A/C compressor. Ensure the engine is off, then attach the can of refrigerant to the port, following the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Start the engine and turn the A/C to the maximum setting while adding the Freon until the pressure reaches the recommended level. Always check for leaks and ensure proper handling of refrigerants.
you need to take it to some one who works on a/c units for you need to put freon in it .
