DO NOT PRY ON THE WINDSHEILD. if you force it by prying under it , you will crack or break the edges. push out on it from the inside. usually works best by pushing the putty knife at the right angle so that the outer molding is being push away and up from the windshield. once you get it started, you'll see how easy it comes out. to replace, put the glass in the track starting from the bottom and work your way up both sides.
