i don't know that's a hard question i might have to say Australia
Queenstown/Wanaka. Tongariro National Park.
Cows and chickens, but sheep are grazed there other than in winter.
The largest ski resort in New Zealand is Cardrona, near Wanaka, in the South Island. The weather there is much more reliable than in the North Island, in places such as Mount Ruapehu. In my opinion Cardrona is the best, especially if you are just starting skiing or snowboarding.
Tukino is located on the eastern slopes of Mt Ruapehu in the central North Island.
The New Zealand ski season is roughly early Julyto early October.June, July and August traditionally are the months with highest snow falls. Usually the first & second week of the July are school holidays, so people are more likely to hit the slopes during that time.
In the South Island, both the Queenstown and Wanaka regions have several well organized skiing areas.Mt Hutt near Christchurch generally has the earliest opening dates. In the North Island, the three ski fields around Mt Ruapehu are the principal foci, with good field development.
