You can use ss on anything.it last longer and does not build up mill scale inside.carbon pipe use's are almost everything,but mostly used for water and air.it will collect mill scale over years and have to be replaced.valves that hang upside down on a carbon system will often have to be unplugged.just turn it up and that will stop.
