carlisle is originally from London England he was born in 1643 his father was a preacher who was hunting vampires by night in London's sewers he passed his night job onto his son carlisle and when he was out hunting they stopped the vampires hunting when suddenly one vampire jumped out and bite carlisle and he crawled away so the villiagers wouldn't kill him he hid under potatos for three days and woke a vampire. he tried to starve himself and kill himself but he gave in and attacked a herd of deer and found to be there was another way of life for vampires that didnt invlove killing humans who had another choice so he went to America and found the vampires there were much more civilized than the vampires of londons sewers but none with his same life style he got his medical degree and in 1918 happaned upon edward Anthony mason who was the only one left in his family and was about to die from the spanish influenza and turned him out of lonliness. he adopted edward. he then found Esme ( around late 1800's) who had jumped off a cliff because her 1st baby son had died and she felt her life could not go on. but carlisle fell in love with her and saved her. she is now his wife. During soome of this time (aka the civil war) Jasper Whitlock, who is a solider originally from Austin Texas, if fighting for the south. he was bitten by three women he came upon while transporting civilians away from the war zones. they thought he would be strong and obedieant enough to become a part of their vampire army so he was bitten. in the 1920's rosalie hale was the fiancee of Royce king. they were about to get married when she was walking through town late at night. she saw her fiancee with his friends and they were all drunk. because they were intoxicated they lost control of their actions and began beating and harassing beuatiful rosalie they left her bloodied and broken. that's when carlisle found her in an alley. he changed her to save her young life. shortly after while rosalie was hunting in the woods she found Emmett who had been hunting (human style) and who had been hurt. she carried him about a hundred miles back to carlisle so he could change him because rosalie knew he was the one for her. after that, Alice who had been alnoe for a while we find out later that she had been in an insane assilum because Evan in her human life she could see into the future. she was in a dark room so she doesn't remember anything from her human life. we also find out later that James is the one who changed her into a vampire. because she can still see into the future she saw jasper and knew he was her soul mate. she picked him up and because she also saw carlisle she went with him and asked to join their family. so there is all the cullens and we know Bella and renesme's story so that's all :)

Carlisle was a man born to a priest. He was born in the somewhat 1600's in London. Carlisle's father would go on hunts to find witches,vampires,werewolves, etc. to burn them (Actually burning innocent people). Soon after his father became ill and weak, he could no longer run the raids he put his only son Carlisle incharge. At first Carlisle was a disappointment. Later, Carlisle found a coven of Latin Vampires in the sewages of London. He waited patiently with a group of people, to capture the creatures. A lone hungry vampire arose, calling out to the others. The mob charged at the creature, the creature was so hungry it turned around and attacked. It killed 2 men and ran off with a third. It bit Carlisle and left him bleeding in the street alone. Carlisle would starve himself, trying to destroy himself, never bothering going to his father in fear he would be burnt. He was so hungry a time later, that a herd of dear were passing by, he attacked one and found another source of survival without being a monster.
