The Crimean War was set in the Crimean Pininsula. Crimea is between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azrov. The closest land is Ukraine. It was a war between The Soviet Empire and the British, French and Ottoman Empires and also Sardinia. The War lasted from 1853 - 1856. The poem The Charge of the Light Brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson was inspired by the actual Charge of the Light Brigade which was a charge of British calvary against the Russian forces. The charge was lead by Lord Cardiganin the Battle of Balaclava on October 25, 1854
