The first manned aircraft was a hot air balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers, its maiden flight occurred on October 15th 1783. If this balloon was named, the name has been lost to history. Presumably one could call it "The Montgolfier Balloon."
Tchaikovsky could have flown in a hot-air balloon, but not a zeppelin. His ballet The Nutcracker premiered in 1892, and Tchaikovsky died less than a year later. The first flight of a zeppelin was in 1900.
Felix the Cat in 1927.
The longest someone has flown in the air is 50 hours!
The first hot air balloons were flown by the Montgolfier brothers in France in the year 1783. Etienne Montgolfier tested the tethered balloon, which was used on November 21, 1783 by its pilots, Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and (Marquis) François Laurent d'Arlandes. Rozier later created a hybrid hydrogen/ hot-air balloon that competed with pure-hydrogen balloons.
Since a hot air balloon is an aircraft, and the Montgolfier brothers flew the first hot air balloon, it can be said that the Montgolfier brothers flew the first aircraft ANDthe first hot air balloon.
