if you read the halo books it shows you how master chief became a spartan when he was a little kid.he grew up on planet reach after they kidnapped him to become a spartan.he was the leader of his team, much like in halo reach the game how you have noble team the master chief had his own noble team of Spartans. The first book you should read is called The Fall of Reach, thats the first book in the halo book series which takes place before the halo reach videogame.its not too much back before it but like maybe 30 years or less before the game.hopes this answers your question! :)
No, Master Chief is in the fictional United Nations Space Command, or UNSC. That's why UNSC is plastered all over everything. Master Chief (or Spartan 117, or more simply "John") isn't even from Earth. There's several Halo books out there that can help you get the full story.
Yes, multiple times. Cortona is a UNSC serial AI; she is a smart AI created by the ONI, a branch of the UNSC, to provide in-field assistance and information to soldiers. She was assigned to Master Chief due to the restraints of the Cole Protocol, and has contacted the UNSC before and after she was assigned to Master chief. If you are talking about Halo 3, Cortona did not directly contact the UNSC. She left a message fragment in the crahsed flood-infested ship, and occasionly contacts the Master Chief. When she was rescued by Master Chief, she helped out the UNSC until Master chief and the Arbiter escpaed the replacment Installation 04 (the Halo destroyed by Master Chief in the first game). She did send a beacon at their location when the UNSC frigate "Forward unto dawn" was cut by the slipspace portal's collapse, but she did not directly contact the UNSC when Master Chief went into cyrosleep either.
Master Chief is a Master Chief in the UNSC (A fictional branch of the military) and is the highest enlisted rank attainable.
No. The Master Chief (Spartan-117, John, John-117, etc) is a SPARTAN-II commando of the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command who became a keystone figure and a hero in the Human-Covenant war in the Halo universe. He served active-duty for more than 30 years, and became one of the most decorated war-veterans in the UNSC, earning every medal except the PoW medallion.
The Master Chief's full rank is actually: Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, which is the highest rank an enlisted officer can climb to. EDIT: Sorry i forgot to make that a minor edit, sorry.
Yes, the arbiter could easily kill master chief with his energy sword or carbine rifle. Covenant weapons are much better than unsc weapons.
its actually MAC. Magnetic Accelorator Cannon. They are mounted on UNSC space ships and much too large for the chief to carry.
Navy.Master Chief Petty Officer of the UNSC Navy, John-117 is a SPARTAN-II Commando of the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command. With nearly 30 years of active duty, he is one of the most decorated soldiers in the United Nations Space Command and has earned every known medal in the UNSC except the Prisoner of War Medallion. United Nations Space Command? No medal of Honor ?
I don't think we ever learn this, he was taken from his parents at age 8 and replaced with a flash clone, from there he was put into the spartan program, the halo universe doesn't reveal anything much about them really. But UNSC needed the best of the best , so i guess that's him lol.
Spartan 117 and all other Spartans fight for Earth or the UNSC (United Nations Space Command)
All of the Spartans were killed by the convent on a world and only one made it out and that is master chief.
well, if you bother to play the halos then yes and no. we was rewarded a high class role but they used him. so he joins master chief and the unsc.
