A persons mass never changes. A persons WEIGHT changes according to the amount of gravitational force put on the object. Some 1 on the moon WEIGHS less on the moon but still has the same mass. Mass plays a factor in the weight but a persons mass never changes by where the person is or so I think.

Is the mass of a person different on the moon than on earth?

Yes, a person's mass remains the same on the moon as it is on Earth. However, because the gravitational pull on the moon is weaker than on Earth, a person's weight would be less on the moon compared to Earth.

Would a person weigh less on Pluto or the Moon?

A person would weigh less on the Moon compared to Pluto because the Moon has less mass and weaker gravity than Pluto. The gravitational pull on Pluto is stronger due to its larger mass, causing a person to weigh more on Pluto than on the Moon.

What is The acceleration due to gravity on Pluto is less than that on the Earth. The mass of a person on Pluto will be .?

The mass of a person on Pluto remains the same as on Earth, as mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object and does not change with location. However, the weight of that person, which is the force of gravity acting on their mass, would be less on Pluto due to its lower gravitational acceleration. Consequently, a person would weigh significantly less on Pluto compared to Earth.

Is a person's mass less on the moon?

No- their weight is less, but mass is not changed.

Would person weigh more or less on the moon?

The Moon is much smaller than the Earth, and its Mass is much less. Thus the pull of gravity is much less on the Moon. Therefore, you would weigh less on the Moon than on Earth, even though your Mass would be the same.

Where would the person weigh the least sea level moon mount Everest?

moon duh less mass u wouldn't weigh less but u would be lighter on the moon.Another answer:You would weigh less on the moon.Your mass would not change (mass is not determined by gravity) but your weight would be less (weight is determined by gravity).

What would a person do to make an object less dense without changing mass?

Since density is mass / volume, the other alternative is to increase the volume.

Would a person have least amount of mass at sea level Mount Everest or the Moon?

None of the above. Mass of an object does not change depending on location. The person's weight would be unmeasurably more at sea level on Earth, a little less on Everest, and much less (1/6th) on the Moon. But their mass is the same at all these locations. There is no other answer.

Would mass be more or less on the moon?

Mass is the same no matter where you are. Weight is less, but mass is the same.

Is it true On the moon your mass would be less than it on earth but your weight would be the same?

falseIt is false. Your weight would be less on the moon but your mass would be the same.

If you weigh less on the moon do you have less mass?

No, your mass remains the same regardless of the gravitational force acting on you. Weight is dependent on gravity and mass, so on the moon where gravity is weaker, you would weigh less compared to on Earth, but your mass would stay constant.

How would you check that a pencil would have a mass of less than 1 kilogram?

To check if a pencil has a mass of less than 1 kilogram, you would weigh the pencil using a scale that measures in kilograms. If the scale reads less than 1 kilogram, then the pencil's mass is less than 1 kilogram.
