My mom usually hides my phone where i cant see it. Like on top shelves, or on top of the fireplace. Look in their drawers. They also may hide it in cleaning supplies. Places you may never look.

I'm currently looking for my phone too. Check closets, the garage, car, dresser, etc. They would normally hide your phone in a place you wouldn't expect or a place you don't go. It's best to look for it when they're out of the house or sleeping, that way you don't get caught. Check their notepads and phone notes, my mom wrote her hiding places in her notes.

well my favorite place to hide stuff from my parents is a bit complicated. u need tape and the item u want to hide. take a dresser drawer out of your dresser and put tape across the item and stick it to the back of the drawer. then reinsert the drawer into the dresser. that is the most hidden way i know.
