It is never made very clear if there is a wall around Hogwarts. In the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie there appears to be one but nothing was mentioned in any of the books. It's likely that there isn't one because it would make it harder to hide from muggles (who see a ruined castle when they are near Hogwarts, having a wall around it would bring that into question) and because the Hogwarts boundaries stretch past a forest.
