Neither. Matter doesn't change on any planet , nor does mass. Only weight does. If your weigh 100 pounds on Earth you'd be 15 pounds on the moon (about 1/6 as much)

When an astronaut lands on the moon his inertia would be less more or same?

Inertia is related to MASS. MASS is a property of matter. Matter is the same on the Earth or on the Moon. Therefore his inertia would be the same.

Would you mass be less greater or the same on the moon?

Your mass is an invariant property of the matter from which you are made, it would therefore remain the same on the Moon or anywhere else in the Universe. However, your weight would be less on the Moon than on Earth because the gravity field of the Moon is less than that of Earth and your weight is the result of how hard gravity attracts your mass.

How would mass and weight be similar and different in the moon and earth?

Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Mass is constant, regardless on the acceleration due to gravity of different planets. So, if someone were to compare their mass on Earth and on the Moon, it would be the same, because the amount of matter in object would not change. However, weight is the force of gravity pulling down on an object. If you were to weigh yourself on Earth and on the Moon, you'd weigh much less on the Moon since there is less acceleration due to gravity. Recall that acceleration due to gravity on Earth is -9.81m/s^2.

Explain how your weight on earth would change if you were on the moon?

The weight of an object is determined by how much gravity is pulling on it. The moon has far less gravitational pull than the earth, and so you would weigh less on the moon.

What phases of the moon would someone on earth see when the moon is at positions A through F?

On Earth, someone would most likely see less then half of a moon.

Would you have less matter on the earth or the moon?

You always have the same amount of matter, regardless of where you go.But, the weight of matter is less on the moon than it is on Earth.Just remember, weight and mass are two different things.

Why is it the mass of the moon is less than the mass of the earth?

Because earth contains more matter as compared to moon.

Why is the Moon's interior colder then the earth?

The Moon is smaller than Earth, so logically it will contain less matter and therefore will be colder.

What is the difference of moon and earth?

The moon is smaller than earth. The moon is on fourth of Earth, and has less gravity. You would weigh about one sixth on the moon than on the Earth.

Will you have more or less weight on the moon than on earth?

You will have less weight on the Moon than on Earth (83.3% less), but your mass will remain unaffected. If you weigh 150lbs on Earth, then you would weigh only 26.55lbs on the Moon.

Would person weigh more or less on the moon?

The Moon is much smaller than the Earth, and its Mass is much less. Thus the pull of gravity is much less on the Moon. Therefore, you would weigh less on the Moon than on Earth, even though your Mass would be the same.

Why on the moon would you weigh less than on earth?

the pull of gravity is not as effective on the moon because the moon is lighter therefore you end up weighing less. However, you still have the same mass, which is the amount of matter inside you, but on the moon that mass just isn't being pulled down as har as on earth. the pull of gravity is not as effective on the moon because the moon is lighter therefore you end up weighing less.
