(1) Guyana is a semi-presidential system, like France and Russia. In the case of Guyana, the President has the greater authority, including the power to dissolve or summon Parliament. The President appoints the Prime Minister from among the elected members of the National Assembly. See the Constitution of Guyana, Articles 70, 99, 102.
(2) The presidential candidates are designated as such by the party lists presented for the parliament. Voting for the parliamentary lists of a party constitutes a vote for that list's presidential candidate. The President is thus not separately elected from the parliamentary representatives; split votes are not possible. Constitution of Guyana, Article 177
(3) Unless Guyana is at war or under a state of emergency, in which case the term may be extended by the president for up to five years, one year at a time. Constitution of Guyana, Article 70
(4) Constitution of Guyana 2003, Article 90
(5) Constitution of Guyana, Article 52 and Guyana Elections Commission
(6) Constitution of Guyana, Article 73 and Guyana's News and Information

The Electoral college is the Presidential voting system. The electoral college gives each state a certain amount of electoral votes. If a presidential candidate wins the majority of the citizens votes, he will also get the electoral vote.
the electoral college works like this the convention delegates settled on a system in which each state legislature would choose a number of electors. The electoral college would select the president and vice president.
The purpose of the Electoral College is to vote for the president.
The electoral system is a fair way to elect our president. It gives the people an indirect vote as to who is elected into office. It ensures small and large states have equal opportunity. Each state votes on electors to be a part of the electoral college.
The expression is "First past the post". It means - the first person wins, with no prizes for the others. The term is used to describe the British electoral system, where each constituency has many candidates, but only one person can win, and become the representative of the constituency. In contrast, in the Irish electoral system, each constituency returns two or three representatives. This electoral system is not a "first past the post" system.
The U.S. Electoral College system is a system of indirect election. In accordance with Article II of the United States Constitution, electoral votes determine the President and Vice President of the United States. The electors are elected by direct popular vote in each state and each candidate for elector swears in advance whom he will vote for. The electors from each of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia then cast their electoral votes to elect the President and Vice President of the United States.

The human organism is made up of systems. Each system supports the rest of the systems in the body. These include the skeletal system, the nervous system, and the circulatory system.
One fact about each and all body systems is that each body system has its own separate but interrelated function.
A direct popular election is a system where the president is elected solely based on the national popular vote, with each citizen's vote given equal weight. The electoral college, on the other hand, is a system where the president is elected indirectly, with electors chosen by each state based on the state's representation in Congress. In this system, the winner of each state's popular vote typically receives all of that state's electors, and the candidate who wins the majority of electoral votes becomes the president.
The major components of each body system all interrelate to each other to keep each organ and part healthy. If something is wrong with one, it effects one or more of the other systems, and the brain will get information from at least one of the systems effected.
