The first drum set that i bought was a Ludwig, it is a fairly nice set and cost me about $500, it has lasted me for about 6 years now and nothing has broken, except for my sticks :( [a little electrical tape can save you money on sticks ;)]
A new Starion drum set cost about US$220. But they have been discontinued.
A drum set setup diagram for beginners typically includes a bass drum, snare drum, hi-hat cymbals, crash cymbal, and ride cymbal. The bass drum is placed on the floor, the snare drum between the legs, and the cymbals are positioned at reachable heights. The hi-hat pedal is operated with the foot. This basic setup allows for easy access to all essential components for beginners to start playing.
A drum kit set up diagram for beginners typically includes a bass drum, snare drum, hi-hat cymbals, crash cymbal, and tom-toms. The bass drum is placed in the center, the snare drum in front, the hi-hat to the left, the crash cymbal to the right, and the tom-toms above the bass drum. This basic setup can be adjusted based on personal preference and the specific needs of the drummer.
To play drums quietly on a silent drum set, beginners can use drum mutes or practice pads to reduce noise. They can also focus on technique, such as using lighter sticks and controlling their dynamics. Additionally, practicing with a metronome can help improve timing and precision.
Can't beat DW for quality

Depends on the brand and quality my first set was $200 it was a P.O.S but it worked to get me started. I've spent a lot more money on improving my drum set with new drum heads, cymbals and hardware.
NO!!! it sucks..its a complete junk.... you should buy any type of drum set but not gammon
Will uses Mapex drums and Sabian cymbals.
Bass drum. The bass drum in a trap set is also called the kick drum.
A lot depends on the shape it's in, and what the brand is. $1,000.00 for a name brand, without cymbals. Then, an old set might be $500.00, in reasonable shape with cymbals. Like I say, it depends on the brand and the hardware, and extras.
There is the bass drum or kick drum which is on the floor that usually holds your toms and then there is the snare which is the center of the drum set. The snare is probably the most important drum in the whole set so it is known as the center of the drum set or kit
