The treasure hunter who discovered the tomb of Seti I was Giovanni Battista Belzoni. An Italian explorer and showman, Belzoni gained fame in the early 19th century for his archaeological work in Egypt. He discovered the tomb, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, in 1817, unearthing significant artifacts and contributing to the understanding of ancient Egyptian burial practices. His findings helped to spark greater interest in Egyptology.
King Tutankhamun's treasure, discovered in his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in 1922 by Howard Carter, included a vast array of artifacts such as golden coffins, jewelry, chariots, weapons, clothing, and furniture. The most famous item is the solid gold death mask that covered the pharaoh's mummy. The treasure provided a unique insight into the wealth and luxury of the Egyptian royal family during the New Kingdom period.
