Although all important days related with the historical events of Sikh Gurus are important for sikhs, but the largest festival for Sikhs is 'Vaisakhi', the day on which the tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji founded 'Khalsa', also called 'Sirjana Divas' of Khalsa (not Janam Divas because one who is born has to die and 'Khalsa never dies').
Guru Gobind Singh ji created khalsa panth in 1699(march 30)
Khalsa is the brotherhood that Guru Gobind Singh created in 1699. The first thing Khalsa men and women believe in is One God, the God of all people. Following that, Khalsa is ordered to live a pure and non prejudice life. They are to help all righteous people, abolish evil & sin, and keep the 5 K's (Kanga, Kesh, Kacharra, Kirpan, & Kara).
Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the founder of what is called Sikhism. He started the religon and wrote 974 verse in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the tenth Guru. He named the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (Sikhs Holy Scripture) as the last Guru to try to prevent further changes in Sikhism. He also founded the Khalsa (saint-soldiers) on April 13th, 1699. This was an order of Sikhs who were founded to defend the defenseless in the name of Waheguru (God). At one time it was said you could go up to a Khalsa and slap him (or her) and he (or she) would not strike you, however if you attacked another person they would try to stop you. For that purpose they carried a Kirpan (hand of mercy) which is a knife or sword. Unfortunately some groups view the Khalsa as the only true Sikhs. However the current Guru of the Sikhs, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, says otherwise. They are not different in anyway except there physical body. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said that he would have the same soul but in 10 diffrent forms and they will build a new race know as the khalsa.
Sikhism was founded because there was a lot bloodshed to the hindu's and a lot of empire's wear evading india and then to spread peace guru nanak dev (first guru of Sikhism ) spread sikhism for peace then the 10 sikh guru gave sikhs swords and babitise them to the Khalsa pant and they started fighting aganste the musslam rullers that torcher people.
The Khalsa Panth was instituted by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, in 1699. During the Vaisakhi festival, he established the Khalsa as a collective body of initiated Sikhs, promoting the values of equality, justice, and spirituality. This initiation ceremony involved the Amrit (nectar) and marked a significant transformation in Sikh identity and community. The Khalsa became a vital force in Sikhism, emphasizing discipline and devotion.
He founded Sikhism and the followers are called Sikhs.
nt really
The message "Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh" is to be conveyed whenever two Sikhs meet each other. Guru Gobind Singh Ji has said, "My face will be towards that person who says it first. My back will be towards that person who says it afterwards. I will be in between both of them, if both of them says it together." Hence, in order to spread the message of brotherhood, we should say Fateh together.
Wareguru jee kee Khalsa, Wareguru jee kee Fatah. To become a Khalsa a person must take Amrit and by doing that he/she should follow the rules of the Guru Granth Sahib.
