'Rinkitink in Oz' is the only book by Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919] on Oz that may be considered a military history. It's the tenth of Baum's fourteen books on the Royal Histories of Oz. It deals with an international war that pits the island of Pingaree in the Nonestic Ocean against two others, Regos and Coregos.
The Nonestic Ocean is to the east of the beautiful, enchanted, magical lands of Oz. Munchkinland, in eastern Oz, borders the Deadly Desert. The Desert borders the land of Ev, which fronts the Nonestic Ocean.
