The PS3 are way less expensive and better rated by amazon customers. You must watch for these to go on sale for either system. Problems were expressed with the Mic volume when the PX3 is used on the PS3 and also with the PX5
I don't think you want to hear the sound from your TV, but you want to hear the sounds that your PlayStation is making and sending to your TV. Your first choice should be from Sony PlayStation 3 accessories and the headset and mike that they make connects to the PS3 with Bluetooth and the retail USA price is $49.99. It is called PS3 Bluetooth Headset and a link to the PlayStation network accessories has been placed under the related links
Just delete the mic on your ps3, restart the system and reconnect the headset. I had the same problem and it worked for me. :)
either buy a wireless bluetooth mic, or wired mic. connect or plug in the mic and then should be ready to chat :)
You can order a Plantronics Bluetooth headset from the "BestBuy" website. They offer a nice Plantronics Bluetooth Stereo Headset with Dual-Mic technology for $55.00. It has wireless connectivity, stereo sound, Audio IQ, bass boost, noise cancelling microphone, with a one year limited warranty.
go to settings at the main PS3 menu, scroll down to "audio device settings" if it is a USB heatset. (if it is a wireless USB heatset just plug the receiver in). then go to the 2nd drop-down menu and select whatever you mic is called, like mine it says "logitech wireless headset". and if it is a bluetooth headset, than i think it says "bluetooth device settings" or something like that... then check the headsets owner's manuel, and check that. it will probably guide you thru it on the PS3. good luck! After this, it will ask you a passcode. This passcode is either 0000 or 1234.
headset with microphone
Any Bluetooth headset is compatible with the PS3. u actually need a special headset that clearly says ps3 capible, some headsets will play havok with ur wireless controllers!!!!try Wikipedia I'm pretty sure ps3 is compatible with most headsets.
You can use a bluetooth headset o im pretty sure you can find a microphone that will plug into the jack on your PC in your nearest electronics store.
So far, i've found no way to get the Ingame audio into the headset, but the mic works if you go into accessory settings -> Audio settings and choose Razer Meglodon. Hope that helps.
