All forms of RNA are involved in protein synthesis. The rRNA combines with protein to form ribosomes. The tRNA delivers the anticodon and amino acids to the ribosome. The mRNA delivers the message that needs to be translated and the codon.

These are transfer RNA molecules. tRNA. ( there is catalytic RNA in the ribosomes that have a part to play in protein synthesis, but just info for your edification and not the answer you seek )

All 3 types of RNA are involved in protein synthesis - messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA) and ribosomal RNA (rRNA).

mRNA is transcribed (copied) from the DNA template in the nucleus. This then travels from the nucleus to the ribosomes. This carries the instructions for creating a protein.

Ribosomes contain rRNA as well as protein. Ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis - where the codons (3-base codes) on the mRNA are matched with the anti-codons on the tRNA to create an amino acid chain (a protein).

tRNA carries the amino acids to the ribosomes and ensures that the correct amino acid is joined to the chain being created.
