The Lynx CBL-XFDR18 S/PDIF Adapter may be the best.
The official term for the coaxial digital input is S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format). Punch "optical S/PDIF adapter" into a search engine and you'll get lots of options, shouldn't cost more than $30usd. There is a generic "grey box" that's sold under many brand names that works fine, available at Radio Shack etc.
Assuming the video cable has the right connectors, probably RCA type (phono connectors) then it can be used for audio signals. In fact, some high end audio interlinking cables use video cable because it is claimed that they work better than standard audio cable. (Note that this is the subject of fierce debate among audiophiles and there is no proof that video cable is an improvement on audio cable for audio signals) Using audio cable for video can also be done up to a point. For short connections, up to a few feet or a couple of metres, an audio cable will work just fine. As the length of the lead increases, the cable will begin to interfere with the video signal and cause loss of definition or ghost images. Substituting the cables will not cause damage to equipment, so it is safe to try it. If it looks or sounds like it works, then it works!
A person who works installing audio systems in home may receive some technical vocational training if they want to work for a company. However, if a person has the proper experience, no training may be required at all.
the best ways is to get a analog audio cable. Its preaty cheap like 10-15$. I have mine connected to the the like that and works just fine hope this answers your question. :) Depending on your TV and stereo you may have digital audio inputs on your stereo and outputs (of course) on your TV: optical or coaxial. A fiber optic cable between the two being best.

If it ask you to select a source choose Air or cable. Then there should be an auto program option to press for the channels get programmed.
Basicly Sonny works with two computers. One running Ableton Live the other one Traktor Scratch Pro in combination with NI's Audio 6. He uses timecode cds in his Pioneer DVJ-1000 and the Audio 6 connects the Pioneer DJM-900 and therefore the timecode signal coming from the DVJ-1000 to Traktor. Furthermore he uses an M-Audio Trigger Finger to control Ableton on the other computer. But you have to know that this is just his "Audio-Setup". The Visuals which make his liveshow as exciting as it is bases on another complex VJ-setup. I hope this could give an overview of what Skrillex is dealing with :)
Get a Y-adapter with 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo male to dual RCA female, Radio Shack has them. Plug the 1/8" male into your laptop headphone plug and then connect a set of audio( RCA red and white)audio cables from the adapter to your Tv. Match the colors up , usually the white is the left audio and the red is the right audio. Works good on my system.
