I think my friend said you gets turned in Breaking Dawn when she's dying.
Although the reasons she is dying is completely stupid because if her kid was a proper dhampir then it wouldn't even be drinking her blood. And the pregnancy would take nine months like normal pregnancies do, not a few like Stephanie Meyer put it...although Stephanie Meyer has just completely ruined what vampires, dhampirs and werewolves are.
