Many of the casinos offer four deck, but you'd have to call and ask.
Foxwoods only offers 6-deck and 8-deck blackjack. They do have good rules though. The dealer stands on "soft 17" and you can surrender. I will improve this answer by confirming that foxwoods does not offer single deck blackjack but does offer 8 deck blackjack S17 DAS LS
I only pay attention to blackjack (I play for a living), and I assume you're referring to the MGM in Las Vegas.MGM Grand Blackjack (Las Vegas)Single Deck - roughly a dozen tablesDouble Deck - 1 or 2 tables6 Deck - roughly 40 tables8 Deck - roughly 30 tablesBlackjack Switch - 1 tableNote: These are approximations and it doesn't necessarily mean that the tables are always open. Casinos open more tables during busy times.
Most blackjack in Atlantic City is 8-deck, with the exception of some high limit rooms dealing 6-deck, and just a few 6:5 paying single deck games. The single deck games in AC have the worst odds by far, so stay away from those for sure!
It depends on the blackjack variation that you are playing -- it can be played with as few as 1 deck and as many as 8 decks. Since- and double-deck games are dealt by hand, while games with 4, 6, and 8 decks are dealt from a shoe. In general, the higher the number of decks that are used corresponds to more liberal betting options available to a player. For example, in a single-deck game, players can double on 9, 10, or 11 only, while in an 8 deck game, the player can double on any two cards. Also, many casinos have moved to paying 6-5 for a single-deck blackjack, while continuing to pay 3-2 for a blackjack from a 4, 6, or 8 deck game.
Yes single deck blackjack tables are the best for the gambler, as they offer a lower house advantage. However, single deck are fast changing and more commonly you will find 6 or 8 deck games, as the more decks in play the more house advantage there is, so i don't know if you can still find many single deck games. However if you can still find single deck tables around then these are definitely the best ones to play on. :-)
No. There are only 6 deck and 8 deck games in Connecticut.
No. 8-Deck and 6-Deck on high limit tables
Single deck blackjack games exhist in Atlantic city couple with the 6:5 ruel where blackjack pay 6:5 instead of 3:2. Overall the house edge in these games is about 4x that of their 8 deck counterparts paying 3:2 Breifly, last winter the Hilton offered a 2 deck game where blackjack payed 3:2, It was raped by card counters, in response they tightened the rules a bit to allow the player to double only on 10 and 11, a few weeks later, it was removed. Prior to that tropicana for a short period offered 4 tables with 4 deck blackjack If you still wish to play the horrible single deck games they can be found at the following casinos....
