First nuclear plant was Tarapur in 1969
electricity is made in a power plant.
To provide electricity
Tesla with Westinghouse made the first hydro plant in the Niagara. The water moved the turbines and the AC motors delivered the electricity.
Coal is burned in a power plant to heat water and produce steam. The steam rotates a turbine connected to a generator, which produces electricity. The electricity is then sent through power lines to homes and businesses for use.
Electricity is not made in plants. Most electricity is generated in power plants using a variety of sources such as coal, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, wind, and solar energy. Plants utilize photosynthesis to convert sunlight into chemical energy, but they do not produce electricity.
Electricity from coal is the electric power made from the energy stored in coal. Carbon, made from ancient plant material, gives coal most of its energy. This energy is released when coal is burned.
It is electricity made under water such as dams and power plants and toys. JK
Your local electrical plant.

Hydroelectric.
I pay extra and buy cow power. It is made by burning methane produced in manure digesters on farms, and using the heat to power generators. I could buy power from a nuclear plant, but when I buy local power, the money goes to a local farmer, and the power generation does not threaten the planet.
Energy is not made. Nor destroyed, either, for that matter. Energy is simply converted from one type to another. A power plant converts some other form of energy to electricity. For example, water dam generators convert moving, or kinetic energy to electrical energy.
