Well Whales like the fin whale are not preyed by any one so they could be considered at the top of the food chain. Also Killer whales and the Great White Shark could be top predators sinse they could eat almost anybody.

∙ 15y agoI would of thought it would me Humans as theres is nothing that is a real predator to us apart from ourselves. The same goes for sharks but we eats shark-fin soup so i think we win ;) We don't eat lions but they eat us! I suppose the lion is "King of the Jungle"!

∙ 11y agoUsually food chains go as high as the tertiary consumer (animals that eats an animal that eats another animal that eats a herbivore). Besides the fact that food chains are an over simplification (it's more like food web interactions and not one linear chain) it's not a static concept. For instance, humans can be high in one food chain, but we still can get eaten by another animal. Case by case analysis.

They found that based on diet, humans score a 2.21, roughly equal to anchovies and pigs.
