In ancient Egypt, they regarded cats very highly. When a cat died, the owner would shave their eyebrows as a sign of mourning. If two people were engaged in battle and one held up a cat, the other would not harm the person for fear they might hurt the cat. When a cat died, they sometimes made them into mummies.

Sheep were certainly considered symbols of certain gods, but they were not themselves considered sacred.
Two breeds of sheep were found in ancient Egypt:
The first was the indigenous prehistoric breed of the area, with long spiral horns spread horizontally. This sheep became associated with the god Khnum and a few other gods with ram's heads.
The second type of sheep was introduced during the Middle Kingdom; it had spiral horns close to the head and was seen as a symbol of Amun who became the chief god of the New Kingdom. Priests of Amun were not permitted to eat mutton or wear wool because of this association.
Animals in ancient Egypt were often seen as symbols of particular gods, but this did not make the animals themselves sacred - this is a modern mistake which has often been repeated in websites and other published material. If sheep had been sacred they would not have have been bred in large numbers for meat, milk and wool.

Makeup was considered a holy thing in Ancient Egypt. It was used not only to beautify oneself, but also to make oneself resemble the gods. Thus, it was a form of worship and, since many Egyptians could not afford the more elaborate forms of makeup, it was also a sign of status. Most Egyptians would have owned a small pot of kohl, a form of black eyeliner, which was applied with a small stick. This was to make one's eyes more closely resemble the eyes of the falcon god Horus. This was believed to ward off disease and evil and make the wearer see better. In fact, it was even believed that you couldn't get into the afterlife if you weren't wearing your makeup! For this reason, kohl pots were frequently placed in tombs. Many Egyptians also decorated their eyes with a green eyeshadow made from malachite. Castor oil and sesame oil were rubbed into the skin to fight wrinkles. Powdered red clay called ochre served as blush. Some Egyptians used henna to dye their hair and paint their nails.
