Kauai is my hometown. It is an island that is apart of Hawaii. Hawaii is a great place to vacation. Especially Kauai because it is the most relaxing island out of all. I love where i live.
Maui is preferred by some, Kauai by others and Oahu gets the most visitors.

Hawaii has 8 main islands which are inhabited, and are the ones mainly visited by tourists. These 8 islands are Hawaii, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and Niʻihau. There are well over 100 islands which are part of Hawaii, but most of them are uninhabited.

The major starting point for most cruise ships is next to the Aloha Tower in Honolulu on Oahu. Maui, Kauai and the big island of Hawaii (Kona on one side and Hilo on the other) are the major stops.
Most people in Hawaii live on the island of Oahu. There are 6 other islands( Maui, Hawaii, Kauai, Molokai, lanai, niihau) that people live on but most people live on Oahu. No one lives in Kahoolawe, though. AND NO, WE DO NOT LIVE IN GRASS HUTS! THAT WAS BEFORE WORLD WAR II!!
