My opinion would be metal. Since non metals are brittle and dull, I disagree with the non-metals.
Metals are better conductors and non-metals are better insulators. Metalloids can be either a conductor or an insulator, it depends on the object.
Non metals
Ferrous metals contain iron, while non-ferrous metals do not. Ferrous metals are typically magnetic and prone to rusting, whereas non-ferrous metals are usually more resistant to corrosion and often have better conductivity.
All metals conduct electricty. Just that some do so better than others. But, some metals quickly develop a non-conductive oxide coating, and this coating can be a poor conductor.
