There are various places you can visit by hiring a Segway at the cost of 70 EUR, the major places includes Piazza Navona, Pasquino, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forums and others. An experienced tour guide would be assigned to you with audioguides in many languages. You would be give a helmet and waterproof jacket in case of downpour.
Segway Fun Rome is by far the best tour company to hire a Segway when you are vacationing in Rome. There are many packages available for to choose from, you would also be assigned a tour guide to point out some of the important historical sites, landmarks, local hangouts and beautiful scenery.

It is not risky and dangerous to drive a Segway, it's absolutely danger-free. Segway are considered as pedestrians because it is used in sidewalk and it can only go in area where there is limited traffic. Segway is not used in the roads except for zebra crossings. Everyone is capable of riding a Segway all you need is to follow the instructions given by the trainer and you need practice for few minutes to ride on a Segway.
I don't know about the places, but I agree that you should visit both places before you die. THEY ARE AWESOME!
