Among the elements that occur in nature, it's Uranium, with 92 protons in the nucleus.

Small amounts of atoms with higher atomic numbers are produced in particle accelerators.

Their nuclei are unstable, and break down into nuclei with lower atomic numbers.

look at their atomic number and that is how many electrons they have. If they have a superscript negative number or just a negative add that many to the atomic number.

If it is positive superscript subtract that many to find electrons

example would be F- its atomic number is 9 but is has 10 electrons because of the negative sign

Mg+ this had 10 electrons also because it has lost one electron

The electrical charge in a nucleus equals the number of Protons which is also the atomic number. To find the charge in an atom's nucleus, look at the Periodic Table to find its atomic number and that is the number of positive charges in its nucleus.

How many atoms does electrons have?

Atoms have 1 to 118 electrons. For a neutral atom the number of electrons is equal to the number of protons (atomic number).

What is the number of electrons in atoms?

29 electrons

Arrange atoms from smallest to largest?

An atoms size is relative to the number of electrons an atom contains. Atoms with the least number of electrons are the smallest atoms. When atoms have the same number of electrons, the atom with the most protons will have the largest nuclear charge, and therefore be the smallest atom.

The ability of atoms to combine with other atoms is determined by?

The number of electrons of both atoms and its valence number.

Is most atoms have more electrons than proton?

No. Atoms have the same number of protons and electrons. When atoms gain or lose electrons they are called ions.

How many electrons that each atom have?

each of atoms have electrons that equql to atomic number of that of atoms

How does the number of separate electrons shown for the group 2 metal atoms compare to the number of atoms?

The number of electrons in a neutral atom is equal to the atomic number.

When atoms are at rest what do they have an equal number of?

protons and electrons protons and electrons

Atoms have the same number of?

Protons and electrons

Neutral atoms of the same element can differ in their number of what?

Neutrons. If the differ in electrons they are not neutral and if they differ in protons then they are no longer the same element as the number of protons determines the name of the element.

Is the number of electrons equal to the number of protons in the atoms?

Yes :-)

How is an atom's atomic number related to it's number of electrons?

For neutral atoms the atomic number is equal to the number of electrons.
