The American Standard Version(ASV) of The Bible says, at Isaiah 11:6-9:

"And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea."

Answer:

The prophecies regarding the coming Kingdom of God speak to taking the reigns of world government out of the hands of men -- which goes a long way in and of itself to produce "world peace."

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the Government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

"Of the increase of His Government and Peacethere shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with Judgment and with Justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." (Isa.9:6-7)

Man's insipid religions have watered this, and other wonderful prophecies down into some meaningless ethereal nonsense, instead of the True picture it paints of man's and the world's future.

"...it shall come to pass in the last days, that the Mountain of the Lord's House shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills [the Kingdom of God will rule over all the earth]; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord... He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths... He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Isa.2:2-4)

There shall shall be "world peace." By His Divine Power... God will not "allow" the nations of men to wage war, anymore.

"Then Judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and Righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of Righteousnessshall be Peace; and the effect of Righteousness Quietness and Assurance for ever. And My people shall dwell in a Peaceable Habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places..." (Isa.32:16-18).

The world has never known peace, because man has always ruled it without the Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding... and Fear of his God.

"The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness... (Isa.59:8-9).

"Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise." (Isa.60:18)

Man's elusive speeches and hopes of "world peace" shall never come to fruition by his ignorant hand or by the leadership of his deceptive god whom he worships. The way of peace man knows not. The "idea" of a "peaceable Kingdom" rests in the prophecies of the Word of God, until He brings it to earth and establishes it.

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them..." (I Thess.5:3).

That is the prophecy for man's attempt at world peace. No "peaceable kingdom" will come by the hands of men.

"...there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him [by man's god] that sat thereon to TAKE PEACE FROM THE EARTH, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword." (Rev.6:4)

The Bible verses of a "peaceable Kingdom" are the ones that refer to the one Jesus Christ is bringing to earth when He returns.

"...the fruit of Righteousness is sown in Peace of them that make Peace." (James 3:18)

"Blessed are the Peacemakers: for they shall be called the Children of God." (Matt.5:9)

The Children of God shall be given authority within God's Kingdom, jointly ruling over the nations with Christ to establish world peace.

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God: and if Children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." (Rom.8:16-17).

"...he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron..." (Rev.2:26-27).

Jesus prayer outline for God's Children is to pray to their Father: "...Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matt.6:10)

The "Peaceable Kingdom" is coming to earth. It's part of God's plan for the nations of the world.
