The blood vessels I would imagine you mean are the capillaries. These are the very thin blood vessels which run just under the skin and dilate in response to stress or increased body temperature to allow more blood to the surface. This causes flushing of the skin which gives it a reddish colour. This is more obvious on paler skins as they are more transparent than darker skins. The actual pigment in skin is a different thing all together and not supplied by blood vessels at all.
The pinkish tone in some people of European descent is due to the presence of hemoglobin in the blood vessels near the skin's surface, which gives the skin a pinkish hue. Hemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to tissues and helps regulate skin color. The amount of hemoglobin near the skin's surface can vary depending on factors such as blood flow, blood vessel dilation, and skin thickness.
There are two. The main one which is viewable through the skin is the dorsal blood vessel. The smaller one found under the intestine is the ventral blood vessel.
It could be birthmarks.
Melanin is the color pigment that is produced in the skin and hair and it gives them their color.
Quickly (within hours), the blood vessel damage increases and large bleeding areas on the skin (purpura) are seen.
First, ALL blood vessels just under the skin look blue. Blood vessel color, or whether flatter or puffier, is NOT a pregnancy symptom. You might be confusing facts with a later pregnancy sign, when blood vessels in the breasts engorge (e.g. the vessels look bigger). Blood vessel color, size, or appearance anywhere that vessels are seen through the skin also has nothing to do with menstruation.
A large, purplish-red circle on the skin. Caused by the leakage of blood out of a vessel and under the skin.
Melanin
Veins appear blue because of the way light interacts with the skin, making them look that color. Blood is actually red because of the iron in red blood cells, which gives it its hue.
Skin gets its color from melanin. The more melanin a person's skin has, the darker their skin will be.
