You need to replace the break pads or you can bodge it up by connecting the two wires
It probably means that either the brake fluid is leaking or the brakes are failing. You should get it checked out. Can be that the master cylinder is low of brake fluid. Unless you have a leak this is a sign that your brake pads more than likely need replacing. As the pads wear the fluid level goes down. Inspect your brake pads.
you have to push the brake cylinder back into the caliper using a "C" clamp
Most often a brake repair simply involves replacing the brake pads. If the pads have worn too much though the rotors or drums will also need to be resurfaced or replaced. In more serious cases the master cylinder that controls the brake pressure will be replaced. Brake lines rarely if ever need to be replaced.
Remove the top bolt on the caliper. you need to turn the bolt while holding the nut. The caliper will pivot on the lower bolt. Remove the old pads and you can now push the piston while turning it clockwise to screw it into the cylinder. You have to push and turn because the cylinder is threaded, but only part way.
Low brake fluid, drums/rotors in need of replacement, pads in need of replacement, air in the brake lines, worn master cylinder, brakes out of adjustment... all possible reasons.
